What It’s Like to Ride a Scooter in Koh Tao Thailand

What It’s Like to Ride a Scooter in Koh Tao Thailand – This is our second day in Koh Tao, Thailand. I just rented a scooter for 3,500 THB for one month with a 2,000 THB deposit. If you provide a photocopy of your passport, the deposit is 2,000 THB. If not, then I believe the deposit will be 5,000 THB WITH the passport. The daily rental at Koh Tao Scooters is 200 THB.

As you can see in this video, we’re riding from our hotel to a bungalow. The video is about 10 minutes long and you can get a glimpse of what it’s like in Koh Tao, Thailand.

Please always wear a helmet while riding a motorbike. Please also be careful of the one way streets in Koh Tao. You can see that I made a mistake of going on a one way street in the beginning of the video.

Please also carry your International Driver’s Permit with you at all times. In my opinion, many of the tourists and/or expats do not wear a helmet or carry their permit with them. It seems like the driving or riding regulations in Koh Tao is very lax compared to Chiang Mai.

FYI: I’ve been using the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 for making most of my videos.

Anyways, thank you for your time reading this post and watching the video. I’ll try to post up more stuff about Koh Tao, Thailand. We’ll be here for about a month.
